Double check? For some reason, that seems very unlikely…

I think (although I download and read due to time constraints, so I’ve only scanned this) the real issue here is the actions of the armies (UK/USA/NATO) invading Afghanistan. Armies, as in soilders collectively, have sometimes been know to kill people and to set out to do so. Killing is not a herotic act, and glorifying war to send more people into the bloodbath (the war) is not a good thing. Killing is an anti-social act, whatever your morallity.

You consider journaling. I’ve had my fair share of racing thoughts and found it helpful to get it all out. If I have it written out somewhere I don’t have to think about it anymore.

I would suggest reading the entire poem to see if it makes more sense (NB: I would have reprinted it here, but I’m unsure of the legal issues in doing so . . . if there are any).

Aw, shucks, I just noticed this. Thanks for the mention. As you know, prices have only gotten worse since you posted this. My latest rant about food would be something about how eating organic and locally does not always necessarily mean ‘better’ or ‘more socially responsible’, but I’m just too darn tired to write it on this beautiful weekend. I’m selling the shortbread biz…not because of rising food and gas prices, but because it’s time to start something new after 12 years of shortbread.
